MICHELIN STARRED CHEF NIKLAS OBERHOFER

I am Niklas Oberhofer, a passionate chef and entrepreneur. I work as head chef at "epoca by Tristan Brandt" in Sonnenberg in Zurich. I received my first MICHELIN star in 2022, when epoca was still located in the 5-star superior wellness resort Waldhaus Flims.

My culinary journey after training as a chef began as Commis de Cuisine at the Hotel Bareiss Baiersbronn and then at the 2-star restaurant Geisels Werneckhof in Munich. I then worked as Chef de Partie at the Hotel Villino Lindau, which was awarded one star in the Guide MICHELIN.

From Flims to Zurich: epoca moved

We, my kitchen team, Tristan and I, moved with epoca by Tristan Brandt. We relocated from our old location in Flims to the largest city of Switzerland, with a breathtaking view of Lake Zurich. We opened our doors at the Sonnenberg restaurant. Hope to see you soon!

EAT ART

For me, art and cuisine belong inseparably together. As co-organizer of the Festival of Arts by Waldhaus Flims, I love not only art on the plate, but also art on the canvas or for the ears: EAT ART.

Together with my partners, at the epoca or privately, I regularly cook dishes that you can easily recreate and should, too! This time a delicious composition of shrimp tartare, Asian vinaigrette and wild herb salad.
